MF Inflows slowing down?
Yes but still not at levels that would cause structural reversal

• The markets continued to slide with the small and mid-caps leading the carnage (Mid Cap Tech stocks were deep in red).
• With losses in investments, selective tax loss harvesting strategies can be explored (Read below).
• Gold has hit 3000 USD with India prices of Gold almost touching 90k.
• India retail inflation was at 7-month lows at 3.61% giving further impetus for rate cuts.
• As slowdown fears increase and inflation reduces, a clear trade of declining interest rates seems imminent.
• As we have been iterating, the extent of the fall is unknown, however, we currently believe that the bottom of the markets is either formed or will form over the next 3 months and hence a great time for equity accumulation (We have moved our stance from very defensive funds to moderate/moderately aggressive funds. Our stance could further change to even more aggressive investments on further falls).
• Gold as we have been saying seems set to cross 1 lakh (We continue to advise Gold currently as a hedge but will avoid big tactical bets here).
