As equity markets continue to roar and with prospects of even better days ahead, ELSS surely seems a great option and has been over the past many years. Having said that it is important to know that every investment has to be bound by your risk profile, asset allocation and financial goals. Calculate how much your equity target allocation is basis above and then invest basis that - i e. If deficient by > 1.5 lakhs, then invest the entire limit and if < 1.5 lakhs, then whatever the amount comes to.
